Les cycles de la Terre (Earth Has Cycles) - Booklist
Succinct and matter of fact, this level 1 volume in the Science in My World series (7 titles) introduces young learners to cycles in the natural world. The book opens by defining cycle as “something that happens over and over again.” Short sentences, illustrative stock photos, and simple diagrams are then used to illuminate each of the four cycles presented here: day turning to night, the four seasons, the water cycle, and the life cycle. With the exception of the water cycle, there is no discussion of why cycles are happening or look the way they do, but the what of the matter is always clearly communicated. This, plus the book’s small trim size, makes it best suited to quite a young audience; a glossary and guided-reading tips for caregivers conclude.
