Alan and the Animals - Children's Literature
Part of the “Tadpoles” series, this Guided Reading Level B book entertains new readers with an amusing tale. The cover shows Alan with a frog on his head, a mouse in his pocket and a dog-like critter’s paws resting on his chest. Alan loves bats and rats and even has ten big cats. Big warthogs, frogs and wild dogs are all around him and while it looks like these animals are all in Alan’s home, it turns out that he works at an animal park. Some of the scenes are a bit confusing showing Alan in an indoor setting with the wild dogs and in a vast outdoor setting with the hogs.
