Rain Forest - Children's Literature
Generally rainforests are found in hot climates and they are places where it rains every day. These rainforests are homes to many plants and animals that live on the ground, in trees and at varying levels of the forest. Ants march along the ground and army ants can be quite formidable with their stings able to kill a snake. Others like monkeys and birds are found in the higher regions of the forest. There are birds like the toucan which have large beaks that can crack nuts, and vampire bats that go out at night and bite animals to feed on their blood.
