War in the Pacific - Children's Literature
Fantastic, well-written! Superb! This graphic novel is about WWII and has six sections. The first two sections, The Pacific Conquered and Turning the Tide, are in prose form and take us from 1940 to 1945. The next three sections are written in graphic novel style, and then the last chapter goes back to prose. The author provides a glossary and index at the end of the book. “War in the Pacific” includes information about how George H. Gay witnessedd the Battle Midway, the contribution made by American Seaman James J. Fahay, and the achievement made by Frank Walker of the U.S. Marines.
