Area - Children's Literature
“My Path to Math” is a multi-volume series of which this title is a part. The book’s purpose is to make math concepts easy to understand, and this book does not do a good job. In spite of the language level (which appears appropriate) and the order of presentation, and a good glossary, there are too many negatives to recommend this title. “Squareness” remains undefined, although the inside title pages shows triangles, squares, rectangles and trapezoids. On page six there is a reference to the “top of the book” but the illustration on page seven clearly shows the spine, not the top of the book.
