Big Cat - Children's Literature
Part of the “Tadpoles” series, this Guided Reading Level C book entertains new readers with an amusing tale. Cats and mice are natural enemies—predator and prey—so it is not expected that they would be friends. The story opens with a large cat playing or really terrorizing a mouse, then another and yet another. Finally, when six of them gang up on the cat, the tables are turned and the cat literally slinks under the table with a pitiful meow. Then the mice and cat all decide to play together—the end.
