At the beginning of this book a huge Tyrannosaurus Rex hides in the shadows and waits to attack. T-Rex is one of the most popular dinosaurs with young readers. Youngsters who pick up this book from the “Smithsonian Prehistoric Zone” series will come away with extended knowledge about the giant carnivore. This predator weighed in at over seven tons and readily grew to almost forty feet long and to a height of more than three tall men standing on top of one another. With its quick pace and sharp teeth it could do damage to many smaller creatures.
