Part of the “Tadpoles” series, this guided reading level B book entertains new readers with an amusing tale. Jet is a funny-looking black dog that is taken by his family to the beach. Once there, they throw a plastic bone out into the water for Jet to retrieve. He doesn’t quite have the hang of the task and returns the first time with a piece of driftwood. The comment “Oh, Jet!” is repeated several times as he tries to accomplish the task of retrieving the bone.
